The Gist
3D Printed Customs has experience using a wide array of materials. We currently offer two forms of additive manufacturing (AM)/3D Printing technologies: FDM and SLA. FDM machines use a wide range of materials known as filament. Whereas SLA machines use a resin that cures in UV light.
Flexible Materials (FDM)
- TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)
- TPE (Thermoplastic Polyethylene)
Thermoplastics (FDM)
- ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
- PLA (Polylactic Acid)
- PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate)
Wood composite (FDM)
- Wood pulp combined with polymer binding agents
- Appearance and texture is similar to MDF
- Light cherry color when printed at lower temperatures
- Dark cherry color when printed at higher temperatures
- Can be stained like wood
